Concern “Ukrrosmetall” created the unique mobile compressor station SD-30/120

The design department of special piston compressor stations of JSC "NPAO “VNIIkompressormash” has developed and implemented the project of the new mobile compressor station SD-30/120, equipped with a screw and a piston compressors and individual diesel drives. The station is designed for pneumotesting of gas pipelines and has no analogues both in Ukraine and CIS countries.
The fact that concern "Ukrrosmetall" has the best specialists in designing and manufacturing mobile compressor stations, was confirmed by an another development of designers - SD-30/120, the technical project of which has got "free pass".
The design department of special piston compressor stations had the task to develop easy maintained station for the pneumotesting of gas pipeline, to design the effective compressor station and, taking into account the dimension of the station, to distribute the load on the chassis of the high permeability properly. The department is used to solve problems of any complexity, so the project was no exception.
To lift the gas from the wellsides requires the injection of large amounts of compressed air under the high pressure into the formation. Compressing the air up to 10 MPa and more causes the number of specific requirements while compressor production.
According to customer requirements the mobile compressor station with 30 m2/min capacity and 12 MPa final pressure - SD-30/120 was designed. The station is equipped with a screw and six-row, two-stage piston compressor with 2.5 tons gain from/of air compressing.
Independent drive of compressors provides a smooth launch of the station, capacity control, reducing the failure during operation. The connection of the compressor and the engine is performed by using elastic coupling with the springy element from the natural rubber, which allows to compensate the slight misalignment of shafts and compressor motor.
The modern technological solutions and materials were used to provide the significant increase of time between overhauls and the increase of motor operating in general while compressor operating with 1500 crankshaft per minute. The configuration of the station provides an easy access to all components for maintenance and repairs.
No less important advantage of SD-30/120 station is continuous operation without refueling drive diesels and all-wheel-drive chassis on the bases of KAMAZ-63 501, which enables the use of the station in a cross-country.
At the beginning of September the first two compressor stations SD-30/120 were dispatched to DK "Ukrtransgaz" by concern “Ukrrosmetall”. These stations are already operating on a gas pipeline "Urengoy-Pomary- Uzhgorod" - the main gas-transmission arteries of Ukraine, requiring full overhaul. The use of the station allowed to solve the problem of providing the compressed air to the objects of oil and gas industry, removed far from the sources of electricity and located in hardly accessible areas.
In addition, by words of design engineers of the concern, SD-30/120 station can be used as the basic version in creation of the demanded compressors of high pressure in the oil and gas industry to receive the compressed nitrogen.
The mobile compressor station SD-30/120 is not just expanded a number of unique developments of concern "Ukrrosmetall," but once again confirmed that the company "keep up to the time," quickly responding to the market needs of different industries.
