Rotors Restoration

The technology of full repair of air and gas turbo-compressor machines initially includes rotor restoration, which is the most important and expensive unit.

The technology lies in restoration to nominal size of the worn out mounting and contact surfaces of a shaft, rotor wheels and bushes by means of thick-film hard wear- and corrosion-resistant plating mostly without disassembly that results in the reduction of manufacturing costs alongside with the increase of durability of the equipment.

Among the main coatings used for this purpose is thick-film hard wear-resistant chromium-plating.

The developed technology of plating being carried out in anodic-jet mode using special devices allows to obtaining non-porous solid chromium coat of a considerable thickness (up to 1000 micrometers). A superior cohesive strength is obtained in details of structural as well as stainless steel and cast iron. The usage of these technologies also results in elimination of shaft geometrical axis deformation of the rotor without its disassembly with wobbling up to 0.5 mm. Rotor with shaft length up to 3500 mm and with diameter of rotor wheels up to 800 mm can be restored.
